SUMMER RAIN SERIES

IT BEGAN WITH AN IDEA…

I’d driven to one of my favourite open spaces, the wildflower meadow was in full bloom. I was spellbound by the colour and beauty. I started taking pictures, couldn’t get close enough to those beautiful blooms. Within minutes it began to rain. I ran to my car and sat looking out at the scene, disappointed that I couldn’t continue with my exploration of that meadow. As I looked through the windshield, the meadow became fluid, the rain appearing to melt the edges of the flowers. I loved how it looked and wondered if there was a way to re-create that scene, how it felt to witness it. I couldn’t wait to get home to try to do just that!
